  • HAPPEN gives you a “head start” for your undergraduate education.
  • HAPPEN helps students with the skills, abilities and knowledge base to succeed in college.
  • It is a great opportunity to “Earn While You Learn” by getting college credits early and receiving a ‘per instructional day’ stipend.
  • HAPPEN students will have college-level coursework that they will receive credit for. This is based on their ACT/SAT scores.

Do I have to attend WVU in the fall to participate in the HAPPEN program?

No! Students can attend any college or university after the program. Students who do attend WVU may have the opportunity to take courses with HAPPEN professors throughout their college career.

ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ADMITTED TO WVU BY MAY 1ST IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE HAPPEN PROGRAM. ATTENDING THE HCOP SUMMER PROGRAM WILL NOT INTERFERE WITH YOUR FALL SEMESTER.

Your ACT/SAT score will determine which class you will place into during the program. Listed below are the scores necessary for the program:

  • WVU Admission: ACT 19
  • Math 122: ACT 19/SAT 500
