Lunch meet ups

These happen monthly for new faculty, mid-career faculty, and faculty involved in graduate medical education. We bring our lunch and discuss topics in an open format.

Board Game and Hobby group

Physicians and advanced practice providers meet in WVU Medicine's Physician Office Center for “game night” or other hobbies.

Support for parents

Our physician parents group called “Paging Parenthood” hosts playdates, informational sessions and emails, and a twice-yearly “stuff swap” in conjunction with residents and medical students. The Chief Wellness Officer can help you navigate planning for leave, returning to work, lactation resources, etc. Find childcare information on WVU's Women's Resource Center site.

Support for international medical graduates

Our Global Physicians group aims to ease the transition for global physicians at WVU. We created a handbook and mentorship network.

Schwartz Rounds

This is a multidisciplinary forum where caregivers discuss the difficult emotional and social issues that arise in caring for patients. Find information and supporting research on the Schwartz Center site.
