WVU School of Nursing announces new Associate Dean roles
Due to the significant growth of community engagement initiatives at the WVU School of Nursing, the current position of Associate Dean for Faculty Practice and Community Engagement is being shifted into separate roles.
Dr. Emily Barnes will now serve as our Associate Dean for Faculty Practice, and Dr. Angel Smothers will assume the newly established role of Associate Dean for Community Engagement.
“Our growth is creating so many opportunities here in Morgantown and all throughout the state of West Virginia,” said Dr. Tara Hulsey, Dean and E. Jane Martin Endowed Professor. “I am grateful for these opportunities, as well as the strong leaders like Dr. Barnes and Dr. Smothers who make them possible.”
The new positions are effective April 1.
