SADHA continues to support Morgantown community

Dental hygiene students help WVU Medicine Children's

Bags filled with toothbrushes, toothpaste and other hygiene items were donated to the Salvation Army. The WVU Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association (SADHA) is proud to announce its inaugural Week of Service event. This event was held Feb. 22-26. This year’s event involved creating care packages for the homeless population of Morgantown. Participants designed bags and filled them with toothbrushes, toothpaste, water, hygiene items and more. The care packages were distributed to recipients at the Salvation Army at the end of the week.

WVU SADHA supports WVU Medicine Childrens.Another event hosted by WVU SADHA this year was a Thirty-One bag drawing to support WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital. The organization received extra bags as gifts through its success in a previous fundraiser with Thirty-One. With these bags, members created a giveaway for those that donated to the cause. Those that donated were entered into the drawing for the Thirty-One bags. SADHA was happy to receive over $450 in donations to support WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital.

SADHA is grateful to have several opportunities to stay connected with the Morgantown community despite the unprecedented challenges created by the pandemic.
