Helicopter training exercise will create noise, possible vibrations in buildings Nov. 8

UPDATE (11/6/24): This exercise has been moved to the Student Rec Center fields.

The WVU Army ROTC will be landing two UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters on the intramural fields north of the Health Sciences Center along Chestnut Ridge Road at approximately 7:45 a.m. on Friday (Nov. 8) as part of training exercises scheduled from 7-9 a.m.

Note to employees: The helicopters may create a loud noise during this exercise and may also cause some vibrations in buildings, depending on their approach path.

Field training exercises are held during the fall and spring semesters to allow cadets to demonstrate tactical proficiency in preparation for individual leadership assessment.

Members of the University community are welcome to observe, but will be required to remain in the paved parking lot adjacent to the intramural fields during the operations.
