Krystal Abucevicz-Swick
Tell us about your role within the SON.
I am the sophomore level instructor in the BSN program at the Keyser campus. I am responsible for NSG 211 and NSG 212, I teach both didactic and clinical portions.
What do you love about being a nurse?
I love helping people adapt to their situations, increase their health literacy and live their best lives.
What do you love about teaching in the SON?
The School of Nursing is such a supportive and collaborative environment. I love that I get to be part this positive work environment.
What do you enjoy most about working with students?
I truly enjoy seeing confidence build in students as they make connections and apply their knowledge to the clinical experience.
Why should a prospective nursing student choose the WVU SON?
Speaking as an instructor and alumnus, I recommend WVU School of Nursing to prospective nursing students. WVU School of Nursing prepares students with a high-level nursing education and with skills to become future leaders in the field of nursing.
