From academic journals to university service awards and grants, West Virginia University School of Dentistry esteemed and highly qualified faculty members receive recognition.
- A publication about electronic cigarettes by Dr. Constance Wiener, Dr. Lauren Swager and Dr. Susan Morgan appears in the Journal of Child and Adolescent Substance Abuse. A copy is available through the WVU library ILLIAD request (otherwise readers would have to pay for a copy of it.)

- Decisions in Dentistry picked up and shared a study partnering the dental school and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Dr. Tammy Chipps and former research dean Dr. Fotinos Panagakos were part of a team that studied the efficacy of dental evacuation systems for aerosol exposure mitigation in dental clinic settings.
- WVU's Teaching and Learning Commons and the Office of Accessibility Services included dental hygiene associate professor Liz Puette, BSDH, MSDH, in its first round of Universal Design for Learning grants. She worked on a project incorporating Universal Design Learning concepts into curriculum.
