Steam outage planned for Health Sciences Campus

The Facilities Management team is working with WVU’s steam provider on a planned steam outage for the Evansdale campus May 21-28 and June 3-7. An additional outage will affect the Health Sciences campus on June 3.

A planned total steam outage will occur on Friday, June 3 from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Disruptions will include the entire Health Sciences Center, Erma Byrd Biomedical Building, Health Sciences Annex, Cancer Institute, Physicians Office Center, Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Eye Institute. There will be no steam to support autoclaves, sterilization, heat or hot water. The goal is to have pressures back to normal by midnight on Friday, June 3.
