There will be a brief, intermittent disruption to internet connectivity and technology services on all WVU campuses between 3 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, June 12).
Medicine Grand Rounds: Drs. Pincavitch and Vaddamani to give presentation on clinical decision support systems
Two WVU School of Medicine assistant professors will give a presentation on clinical decision support systems during the Department of Medicine grand rounds on Friday, June 14, at 8 a.m.
Ophthalmology Grand Rounds: Drs. Cain and Eid to give presentations
Two residents will give presentations during the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences grand rounds on Wednesday, June 12, at 7 a.m.
Micro-learning opportunity planned for June 17
The West Virginia Regional Partner of the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (MAAETC) will host an interprofessional education virtual micro-learning experience on Monday, June 17, from noon to 1 p.m. on Zoom.
Windows 11 will be installed on all WVU computers capable of receiving upgrade, starting July 9
Information Technology Services will install Windows 11 on all WVU-managed Windows computers that need and can accept the update, starting Tuesday, July 9. This change applies to all WVU campuses, including Health Sciences Center locations.
Student Health Services available for consultations following new STI guidelines
Following new guidelines that recommend an antibiotic for certain individuals to prevent some sexually transmitted infections (STIs), WVU Student Health Services reminds the campus community that providers are available for STI consultations, in addition to assistance with a wide range of other non-emergency health conditions and preventive care.

Mountaineer Station II parking garage ground-floor lobby closed June 10-July 8
The WVU Medicine Mountaineer Station II parking garage ground-floor lobby will not be accessible from Monday, June 10, through Monday, July 8.
Deployment of new Managed Printing devices will continue through mid-November
Installation of new Managed Printing devices across the WVU System will continue through mid-November, with academic and administrative departments typically receiving at least one week’s notice of the change.
Meet the Office of Advanced Practice Professionals Council
The Office of Advanced Practice Professionals (OAPP) Council is a group that meets regularly to design policies for consideration with WVU Medicine leadership, oversee advanced practice provider (APP)-specific directives and initiatives, create professional and scholarly opportunities for APPs, and provide voice and insight regarding salient business as it relates to this workforce across the Health System.
