WVU Health Sciences and Statler College to host AI Symposium May 1
West Virginia University Health Sciences and the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources will co-host the WVU AI Symposium 2025 on Thursday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Erickson Alumni Center.
Health Sciences digital and web support process updated to enhance service and efficiency
To streamline digital communications and provide more specialized support, the WVU Health Sciences web team is now the primary point of contact for web and digital-related support requests for all Health Sciences and associated school websites. Requests related to any of the Health Sciences and associated school websites that were previously submitted through the WVU ITS ticketing system should now be directed to the Health Sciences web team.
SGA applications now open for 2025-2026 academic year

Dr. Clay Marsh, WVU Health Sciences chancellor and executive dean, has asked Sarah C. Woodrum, DrPH, to serve as dean for the WVU School of Public Health, effective April 8.

FSAP to host virtual Mental Health First Aid training
The WVU Faculty and Staff Assistance Program will offer two virtual Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification opportunities this summer. MHFA helps individuals assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis until professional help is available or the crisis is resolved.

The West Virginia University School of Dentistry and Center for Research & Education in Technology invite area professionals to campus Friday, May 2, from 8:30 a.m. to noon for a dental exhibit and vendor fair in the WVU Health Sciences Center Pylons Commons showcasing the latest technology and innovations.

The West Virginia University Health Sciences and Technology Academy Alumni and Ambassadors Association, Minorities Association of Pre-Healthcare Students and the Student National Medical Association will host the Fourth Annual Community Health Expo and Walk from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 13, outside the WVU Student Recreation Center.
