WELLWVU invites University departments and organizations to sponsor a Hydration Station from 8-11 p.m. on a Friday evening in April. The event offers faculty and staff a fun opportunity to interact with students while encouraging safety and well-being, and promoting your department or organization.

WVU Cancer Institute Summer Undergraduate Research Program now accepting applications
The West Virginia University Cancer Institute offers an undergraduate research internship every summer in basic and clinical cancer research. The highly competitive program provides funding and full-time research opportunities for five students who want to pursue careers in cancer research. Each student receives a $5,000 stipend to cover living expenses and accommodation in Morgantown, WV. Students are responsible for securing their own housing. An additional $1,000 is provided for research supplies to the host lab. The student is paired with an Institute scientist for a ~9-week research project. In 2025, the program will start on Monday, May 19th, and end on Friday, August 1st. Various projects provide a research experience focused on molecular, biochemical, and/or cellular approaches toward understanding the mechanism of cancer, developing anticancer drugs, and nanotechnology applications to cancer research. The participating labs focus on breast, lung, pancreatic, and head and neck cancers, as well as hematological malignancies such as leukemia or lymphoma. Mini grant helps Gamma Mu Chapter of Delta Omega shine a light on food insecurity

WVU Day of Giving set for March 26 with scholarship support a priority

NOTICE: HSC Water line repair scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22nd has been completed.
WVU Health Sciences Facilities has completed repair of the 8” water main line near parking area 80. Due to opening the line up for repair there is a chance for air bubbles that will work their way out as water is consumed in the building. This should be temporary with limited impact on the facility based on preparation and Facilities Maintenance flushing the piping system before introducing water back into the building.
