Collaboration for enhanced outcomes.
West Virginia University Health Sciences students learning how to best serve their patients and communities are provided unique opportunities to work together with an interdisciplinary approach.
Students enrolled in WVU’s five health schools – Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health – along with students from a variety of other programs, engage in immersive, skill-based learning with others outside their discipline to prepare them to work as a collaborative practice team.
The three-phase program allows students to establish proficiency in interprofessional care beginning with didactic and simulation learning experiences, followed by clinical practice.
