Lifelong learning drives WVU simulation specialist’s career

Growing up in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, Joshua Bell would spend weekends at the ambulance station where his friend's father worked as an EMT, sparking an interest in healthcare that led him down a path to discovering the David and Jo Ann Shaw Center for Simulation Training and Education for PatientSafety at West Virginia University.

Seeking career and life mentors for undergraduate students

WVU Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology Department, in collaboration with the WVU School of Medicine Health Professions and the WVU School of Public Health are looking for professionals to serve as career and life mentors to undergraduate students. Ideally, we would like for these mentors to be in professional fields that intersect with health disparities that are prevalent in West Virginia and rural Appalachia.
