Congratulations to our May 2026 graduates!
As we wrap up the Spring 2026 semester, we are excited to celebrate our newest Health Sciences graduates who are about to begin another step in their journey. Together, these students have accomplished so much personally and professionally while learning and working to improve health and well-being.
Our graduates’ inspiring stories and lifetime commitment to serving others is an opportunity to reflect on our individual purpose and our collective mission at Health Sciences and West Virginia University.
We can’t wait to see all that these graduates will accomplish, and we are so excited to cheer them on. We hope the lessons they’ve learned along the way provide guidance and reassurance in their new adventures.
Remember, country roads will always lead you back home.

I think WVU prepared me really well by giving me real-life clinical experiences that helped build my confidence. I feel more comfortable with my skills and talking to patients and families. Outside of academics, I also loved being part of the WVU community, like going to game days, meeting new people, and making lasting memories with friends.
The professors in my program did an amazing job preparing me for my career in the laboratory. The transition from classroom to clinicals was seamless and should continue through the start of my career.
I would like to say that if you are interested in the nursing program, do it. It is hard and it is difficult, but it is so rewarding. To be able to take care of people and be with them in their times of need, that is the best part of nursing. Also, you will meet people in this nursing program who will be lifelong friends, and you may meet people who will help influence the nurse you become.
