The goal of this continuing partnership is to provide BMS with valuable feedback regarding the policies they implemented to aid the Medicaid system and population throughout the pandemic. Dr. Mueller leads a comprehensive evaluation examining policies BMS prioritized during the planning phase that occurred last year.
This evaluation investigates how utilization, costs, and health outcomes, as well as experiences for Medicaid beneficiaries and providers, have changed following enactment of these policies. It involves the analysis of data collected using surveys, focus groups and key informant interviews, in addition to thorough examination of Medicaid claims data. The results of this analysis will be presented to BMS in a comprehensive report tailored to help them make informed policy decisions as the pandemic continues on.
