Cardiology Grand Rounds

The WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and the WVU Critical Care and Trauma Institute present guest lecturer Steven Conrad MD, PhD, who will be discussing "ECMO: Changing Paradigms from Lessons Learned," as part of Cardiology Grand Rounds.

Dr. Conrad is the medical director of the Extracorporeal Life Support Program at University Health System in Shreveport, LA, and professor of internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and anesthesiology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – Shreveport. He established the ECLS program in 1993, and expanded it to include adult, pediatric, and neonatal support, as well as continuous renal and plasma therapies. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters on ECLS, including the Red Book.
