You're invited: Understanding and Reducing Implicit Bias in Higher Education

All School of Public Health faculty and staff are invited to participate in a virtual workshop on implicit biases and graduate education hosted by Bentley Gibson on February 17, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. This innovative workshop is designed to increase awareness about implicit bias, counteract/reduce bias and foster positive intergroup attitudes and behaviors (general behaviors and practices specific to higher-education).

To prepare for the workshop, Dr. Gibson has requested that workshop attendees take three implicit social attitudes tests at https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/selectatest.html. How to access the tests, which tests to take, and what to do with your results can be found on the instructions sheet. Taking these tests before the workshop will allow attendees to fully participate in the session.

To make the session more interactive for attendees, Dr. Gibson will be using online polling technology. You can access the polling site at https://pollev.com/bentleygibso394.

As a CGS member school, registration for this virtual workshop is free for WVU faculty and staff. Register online.
