Beckley Nursing Alum "Drops In" for a Visit
Bry Christian, a Beckley Campus nursing alum, spoke to students last week after landing on the WVU Tech campus in a HealthNet helicopter. For the past five years, Christian has flown the skies as a flight nurse in southern West Virginia, delivering critical care to those in need. Students gained insight from Christian, who offered helicopter ride-alongs as well.

Outstanding Alumni

The WVU School of Nursing truly creates leaders in the nursing profession, as well as in their communities.

Bry Christian, a flight nurse who recently visited our Beckley Campus, is an excellent example. Not only does she deliver critical care to those in need, she also volunteers her time to inspire others to consider a similar path.

We will soon get to hear from another outstanding alum, Dr. Bernadette Melynk, during the upcoming Kandzari Lectureship. Please join us on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Okey Patteson Auditorium to hear her presentation, "Using Best Evidence to Improve Rural Population Health and Well-Being."

We are incredibly proud of the accomplishments of our alumni, and we are grateful for the insight and expertise they provide.

Let's Go,
Dean Hulsey
