Pfister Scholarship Campaign achieves half million dollar goal

The WVU School of Medicine, Charleston Division has established a new scholarship fund honoring longtime faculty member, Al Pfister, M.D.

Gifts and pledges received for the Alfred K. Pfister, M.D. Legacy Fund were matched by a Maier Foundation challenge grant, resulting in a $250,000 award from Maier. The scholarship is designated for third- and fourth-year medical students attending the Charleston Division.
