Info Session: Year of Service with JVC Northwest

Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 4 p.m.

Are you interested in a career in public health? A year of service with JVC Northwest can provide valuable experience in the field as you use your skills to help strengthen communities in the Pacific Northwest. Jesuit Volunteers live together in community and serve with a wide variety of partner agencies, including many in the field of public health.

Join Laura Keating (she/her/hers), alumni engagement coordinator, on Wednesday, Feb. 4, for a Year of Service Info Session to learn more about this opportunity.

  • Date: Wednesday, Feb. 8
  • Time: 4 p.m.
  • Location: HSC 2940B
  • Download the event flyer here.

JVC Northwest responds to community needs by supporting and partnering volunteers with local organizations across five states. As a Jesuit-affiliated volunteer program, JVC Northwest provides opportunities for formation and personal growth in community, social and ecological justice, simple living, and spirituality/reflection, as well as extensive support through retreats (including two BIPOC-only retreats!), dedicated program staff, and other local support.

As a Jesuit Volunteer (JV), you’ll receive career and skill-building opportunities while deeply engaging in community and reflection. In addition to housing with fellow volunteers, healthcare, and a modest living allowance, you’ll also receive an AmeriCorps education award upon completion of $6,795 to use for prior loans or further study.

Find out where a year can take you. The next priority application deadline is March 7 and the final deadline for applications is May 31. Apply today at jvcnorthwest.org.
