January 2024: Connect with Yourself and Others

/ Court Side

Welcome back – I have missed you! I hope you had some time to connect with friends and loved ones, and to also catch up on rest. I know the spring semester tends to be busy, so I want to remind you of the most important person in your life…YOU. It is easy to get out of touch and neglect ourselves, especially in the helping fields. Take the time to connect with people and services that help you refuel. On campus, you can go to the Rec Center, Carruth, Student Health, The Rack and The Rack II. Check out the well-being website for more resources.

Do not forget to connect with others as well! No matter what community you are from or interest you may have, it is important to intentionally stay connected. WVU has many organizations and centers on campus to assist you, like Collegiate Recovery, the First-Gen Network and the Center for Community Engagement. If you cannot find a community or organization you are seeking, please reach out to me and I will try to help with that connection. And check out the events below, you might something that interests you where you can meet others.
