- Teach in graduate programs (Course Coordinator for: Advanced Pathophysiology, EBP Methods (DNP), DNP Project Development; Teach in FNP Practicum courses)
- Faculty of Record for DNP projects
- WV ANEW grant program director for SUD training in graduate program
- Active on committees (MSN/DNP Admissions & Curriculum, Graduate Program)
- Clinical Track-Faculty Practice at Milan Puskar Health Right with the State Opioid Response grant; Program Administrator for the COAT clinic at MPHR
What do you love about being a nurse?
The versatility of being able to care for others in a diversity of settings and in a multitude of ways.
I love the field of healthcare — continually interacting with patients, learning new things.
What do you love about teaching in the SON?
I love helping students learn how to expand their horizons and use their talents to enhance the provision of care to others.
I also love the hybrid role that I can employ with faculty practice-teaching students about advanced nursing practice, and still being very active in providing advanced nursing practice.
What do you enjoy most about working with students?
Interacting with them, learning their strengths and helping them develop.
