Evening of Science: Focus on Dentistry

The first Evening of Science of the semester will be held on September 24, 2019, with a focus on dentistry. Presenters from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry include Dr. Fotinos Panagakos, associate dean of research, Dr. Gian Pietro Schincaglia, chairperson of periodontics, and Dr. Dan McNeil, professor of psychology and clinical professor of dental practice and rural health.

By having discussions revolving around team science, and inviting researchers from all across our campus, professionals attempt to erase the physical barriers to collaboration that normally exist. The Evening of Science is a series of informal gatherings to discuss science in a way that crosses traditional program boundaries by focusing on teams versus individual efforts.
