Dental school alumni president shares summer message

Dr. Michael George addresses alumni, students, faculty and staff

Greetings,

Dr. Michael George is the dental school alumni president. As summer passes and we quickly approach the beginning of a new school year, I hope that this time brings all of you good health and happiness.

I wish the incoming first year class of Dental and Dental Hygiene much success as you enter this most exciting time of your lives. It seems like only yesterday that I was anxiously awaiting that first day of orientation and classes to begin the next chapter of this great profession.

I would also like to extend my best wishes on a successful year to the upper classmen as you continue your diligent efforts to pursue you career goals, and those same well wishes to the faculty and staff at the School of Dentistry.

On behalf of the alumni association, I would like to also offer my sincerest condolences to the family of Dr. Michael Meador. The school and dental profession certainly lost a great leader, trusted mentor and dedicated professional. We will miss you Dean Meador.

Despite all of the challenges we face day to day, I have complete trust, faith, and confidence in our School of Dentistry and its continued success! And as always, I am proud to be a supportive member and alumnus of the WVU School of Dentistry.

Best Regards,

Michael P. George, DDS ‘84

President of the WVU School of Dentistry Board of Governors for the Alumni Association
