Dental school alumni association president becomes ICD Fellow
Congratulations to West Virginia University School of Dentistry alumna Dr. Kerri Simpson.
The International College of Dentists (ICD) selected the Morgantown, WV periodontist as a Fellow. The ICD reports 12,000 members in more than 122 countries. Dating back to 1920, the organization has focused on “Honoring the World’s Leading Dentists”.
Fellowship into the ICD requires a rigorous, peer-review process to recognize the dentists “outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service, and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of all humankind”.
Dr. Simpson completed WVU's dental hygiene program in 2013. She earned her DDS in 2017. She was among the first graduates of the postdoctoral periodontics program in 2020. Simpson is the current president of the WVU School of Dentistry Alumni Association.
