Beckley Campus student to receive scholarship

During the inaugural Belle Chemical Company Scholarship Honoree Banquet, several scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing STEM-based learning at a 4-year or associate program in West Virginia, including a WVU School of Nursing Beckley Campus student. 

Elizabeth Morgan will graduate in May 2023 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the Beckley Campus, located at WVU Tech. 

Morgan’s goal is to work at the surgical intensive care unit at CAMC Memorial in Charleston. She wants to eventually work with sexual assault victims as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner because there are only four in the state of West Virginia. 

Other scholarship recipients include Chaz Bentley and Nevaeh Ellington. 

The event will be held Wednessday, June 15 at 6 p.m. at JQ Dickinson Salt Works.
