Walk, run or relax event benefiting WVU Headache Center to be held in October

Miles for Migraine will host its annual 5K run and two-mile walk at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct.12, at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park in Morgantown. The virtual event, in which participants can walk/run at their own pace and on their own schedule, will be held Oct. 10-14. Proceeds benefit the WVU Headache Center to support local migraine research and fellowship training programs as well as Miles for Migraine programs and services.

All ages and abilities are welcome to participate, whether by running, walking or enjoying the event festivities. All walk and run finishers will receive a medal, and the 5K race is professionally timed. Registration is free, but donations are encouraged.

Migraine headaches affect roughly 12% of the population and can be debilitating for those who suffer. For those who are among the 50 million Americans who suffer from chronic or severe headaches, the WVU Headache Center provides personalized, empathetic care and a commitment to improving quality of life.
