Dental school's hygiene department announces 54 of 83 hygiene students earned grades to place them on the President's List or the Dean's List.
Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Dr. Michael J. Meador. Below is a message shared by Dr. Anthony Tom Borgia upon learning of Dr. Meador's passing. (Obituary online.) Dr. Meador passed away June 24. He was 67 years old.
Dr. Michael George writes, "There is no doubt you will leave this institution prepared for the practice of dentistry, dental hygiene or to pursue further professional goals."
Considering the sensitive, unfortunate, and disturbing events related with the horrific murder of an African American citizen, George Floyd, in Minneapolis, MN, and the tragedies of many others such as Breonna Taylor and Robert Fuller, the West Virginia University School of Dentistry Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee expresses its deep concern and condemns all acts of prejudice, violence and discrimination.
A total of 17 students in the class of 2020 were recognized.
The Department of Dental Hygiene at the WVU School of Dentistry has 18 awards and scholarships to share with exemplary students.
