Longitudinal Teaching Scholars Program now accepting applications
Health professions faculty, residents, fellows, clinical preceptors, program directors, and educational leaders who are passionate about advancing their teaching and educational leadership skills are invited to apply for the 2026-2028 cohort of the Longitudinal Teaching Scholars Program.
Neal Museum opens new Children's Hospital exhibit exploring history, impact of pediatric vaccines
A new exhibit curated by the William A. Neal Museum of the Health Sciences, “History & Impact of Pediatric Vaccines,” is now open at the WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital and is free for students, faculty, staff and community members to visit.

Health Sciences Mountaineer Station parking garage elevators out of service
The elevators in the WVU Mountaineer Station parking garage are out of service until further notice. Repairs are being made, but the contractor is unable to provide a timeframe for when they’ll be put back in service.
SOLE Spotlight on Accessibility: Start with Alt Text and SOLE Accessibility Checker
Faculty who teach in SOLE can support the University’s ongoing efforts to create an inclusive digital environment and ensure compliance with federal accessibility rules by using the SOLE Accessibility Checker and adding meaningful alternative text (alt text) to visual content in courses.
STEPS Lead Simulation Education Specialist Rusty Doerr retirement party set for July 9
Join us on July 9 at 2 p.m. to celebrate the retirement of Russell “Rusty” Doerr, lead simulation education specialist, following more than 17 years of dedicated service in healthcare simulation at the David and Jo Ann Shaw Center for Simulation Training and Education for Patient Safety (STEPS).
