A new micro-credential (badge) available at West Virginia University focuses on disabilities and disability services and supports within the university setting.
School of Public Health Teaching and Learning Community Seminar to occur Sept. 9
The first seminar for the SPH Teaching and Learning Community (also known as the Teaching Mentoring Group) will occur on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 from 11 a.m. to noon in John Jones B, G285B in the HSC. This group/seminar series is a monthly lecture and discussion series for interested students, faculty, and staff in the School of Public Health. Anyone interested or involved in teaching in the School of Public Health including students, faculty, adjunct faculty, and staff may attend. PhD students in teaching practicums are encouraged to attend. This first seminar will focus on SOLE. The presentation will discuss features of SOLE and how to get help with SOLE. Stay tuned to the WVU Calendar and your email inboxes to stay up to date with the upcoming topics. Public invited to register for free speech and audiology screenings
The West Virginia University Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders will offer free speech and audiology screenings to the public in October.
Mon Co. QRT joins 54 other counties for Free Naloxone Day in nine locations
On Thursday, Sept. 8, Monongalia County Quick Response Team members will once again be participating in Save a Life Day, also called Free Naloxone Day. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at nine locations, including the Student Rec Center and Mountainlair on WVU’s campus.

Blood Drive set for Sept. 21 at Ruby Memorial Hospital
An American Red Cross blood drive will be hosted Wednesday, September 21 from 12-5 p.m. at the WVU Medicine J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital Bruce McClymonds Conference Room for employees and students.
