WVU hosts panel on addressing addiction stigma in news reporting

The West Virginia University Reed College of Media, Reporting on Addiction  and WVU Health Sciences will present Tackling Addiction Stigma by Working with Journalists Monday, Oct. 17 from 6-7 p.m. in the WVU Media Innovation Center, Evansdale Crossing.

New video tour available for Morgantown Health Sciences Campus

The West Virginia University Health Sciences Campus in Morgantown is the largest concentration of health care, research and health professions resources in West Virginia. To give prospective and current students, faculty and staff a look at our campus, a new video tour showcasing key locations is available at health.wvu.edu/morgantown-campus and on the WVU Health Sciences YouTube Channel.

WVU School of Public Health to celebrate 10th anniversary

The West Virginia University School of Public Health will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a series of events October 25-28. Please join us as we celebrate! This multi-day event series will give the WVU community, including alumni, friends and community partners, the opportunity to engage in important discussions while celebrating a decade of milestones in the School of Public Health.

School of Public Health Teaching and Learning Community Seminar to occur Oct. 14

The next seminar for the SPH Teaching and Learning Community (also known as the Teaching Mentoring Group) will occur on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 11 a.m. to noon in John Jones B, G285B in the HSC. This group/seminar series is a monthly lecture and discussion series for interested students, faculty and staff in the School of Public Health. Anyone interested or involved in teaching in the School of Public Health including students, faculty, adjunct faculty and staff may attend. PhD students in teaching practicums are encouraged to attend. At this seminar, you will learn about resources offered by WVU's Teaching and Learning Commons (TLC), including professional development and peer support opportunities. This includes the opportunity to engage in discourse about teaching with John Oughton, EdD, Associate Director of Teaching Support and Advancement for the TLC. Stay tuned to the WVU Calendar and your email inboxes to stay up to date with the upcoming topics.
