WVU Trademark Licensing updates academic lab coat standards

WVU's Trademark Licensing recently worked with HSC leadership to develop standardized protocol when ordering lab coats for employees and students in the following academic capacities: Health Sciences Center students, medical students and residents, professional programs, laboratory program students and professors.

If you are a healthy male ages 18 or older, or post-menopausal female, a non-smoker/non-tobacco user you could be compensated up to $1100 by participating in an upcoming research study during the month of February. $6 million goes to Marshall and WVU to aid research and rural health

More than six million dollars remaining in a court settlement account has been transferred to West Virginia University and Marshall University. The funds were split equally between the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute (BRNI) at WVU and the Robert C. Byrd Center for Rural Health at Marshall.

Hackathon

The Health Sciences Innovation Center is planning the first ever WVU Health Sciences Hackathon on March 18-19, 2017.  We will be sending out more information in the coming weeks. There will be $10,000 in prizes in 5 prize categories. Teams should be multidisciplinary and it is open to all members of the WVU community. WVCTSI names four new Research Scholars

Four clinician scientists have been named research scholars by the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute. The four investigators awarded this designation include: Treah Haggerty, M.D., Matthew Dietz, M.D., Malcolm Mattes, M.D., and Nicole Bryan, M.D., Ph.D. The WVCTSI Research Scholar Program enhances the development of exceptional early career researchers in clinical and/or translational science.
