Ferrari appointed to American Board of Pediatrics leadership board
Norman Ferrari, M.D., chief academic officer for medical education for the West Virginia University School of Medicine Doctorate of Medicine program, was named to a six-year term as a member of the Board of Directors for the American Board of Pediatrics.

Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis graduate students awarded at Autumn Immunology Conference
Undergraduate Immunology and Medical Microbiology and graduate Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis students attended the 51st Annual Autumn Immunology Conference (AIC) held November 17-20th in Chicago. The students were accompanied by Professor Jon Busada, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the Microbiology, Immunology, and Cell Biology Department.

The practices shared will encourage a sense of grounding and warmth as the weather changes, as well as help you cultivate resiliency to bounce back quickly from stressors that may arise during the holiday.
Neal Museum opens exhibit on the resilience of WV’s healthcare workers
While burnout and resiliency have long been a part of working in the medical field, COVID-19 brought those experiences into public view and attention. The William A. Neal Museum of the Health Sciences invited West Virginia healthcare workers to submit objects that represented their personal story of resilience and avoiding burnout. The resulting exhibit, “Getting Through: Healthcare Worker Resilience in West Virginia,” is now on display through Summer 2024.
Dr. Elizabeth Sinz joins WVU Critical Care and Trauma Institute
Elizabeth Sinz, M.D., M.Ed., anesthesiologist and critical care physician, will become the associate medical director of the WVU Critical Care and Trauma Institute effective Dec. 4.
