Zuan-Fu Lim wins young investigator award for his cancer research
Zuan-Fu Lim, a cancer cell biology graduate student in Patrick Ma’s lab at the WVU Cancer Institute, has received an American Association of Immunologists Young Investigator Award for his first place oral presentation at the 21st annual meeting of the Translational Research Cancer Centers Consortium at Seven Springs, PA.

WVU researcher wins national award; examines use of multiple medications among older cancer survivors
Traci LeMasters, assistant professor in the School of Pharmacy, is a recipient of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s New Investigator Award, which grants funding to early-career faculty to jumpstart independent research programs. She is one of only 16 people nationwide to receive the award this year.
Fulbright scholar's public health research highlighted at global seminar
Phat Huynh, Fulbright Scholar and MPH candidate in the WVU School of Public Health, will have his research featured at the 2018 Fulbright Global Health Innovations Seminar in Atlanta, GA, later this month.

Ask the Experts: Preventing Childhood Obesity - March 1
On March 1, from 2-3:30 p.m., the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) will host an Ask the Experts virtual session on preventing childhood obesity. Expert panelists from Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center, West Virginia Bureau for Public Health, West Virginia Prevention Research Center and the CDC Division of Population Health will address the intersection of community based research, policy development and program implementation to prevent childhood obesity.
WVU groups to host body positivity event Feb. 19
Groups and organizations across West Virginia University are collaborating to create a night of body acceptance for students. The WVU Collegiate Recovery Program, WELLWVU, Carruth Center, WVU Medicine Student Health and the WVU Women’s Resource Center will host “Accepting EveryBODY” on February 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the WVU Recreation Center, Meeting Room A.
