University adopts policy on digital accessibility
In ongoing support of the University’s commitment to an inclusive digital environment, and in alignment with updated federal regulations under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the University has adopted a Digital Accessibility Policy that provides guidelines for employees across the WVU System who manage or create digital content.

WVU’s Certified Tobacco Treatment Training Program celebrates graduates with honor cords
The Certified Tobacco Treatment Training Program (CTTTP) at West Virginia University Health Sciences Center, sponsored by the School of Dentistry and the HSC Office of Interprofessional Education, is recognizing a new class of graduates in a meaningful way this year. For the first time, WVU graduates will receive honor cords that symbolize their commitment to addressing tobacco use disorder and supporting recovery.

Reach Out & Read 5K brings health professions together
On April 25, WVU School of Pharmacy Kappa Psi Beta Eta hosted the annual Reach Out & Read 5K at the WVU Rec Center, bringing together 64 participants in support of early literacy.

Final Zoom Phone training set for May 20
The University’s two-year project to move from outdated Cisco hardware to Zoom Phone is in the final stretch. To support Health Sciences Center employees, Information Technology Services has coordinated virtual training sessions and strongly encourages participation. The last training will be offered Wednesday, May 20 at 10 a.m.

As the first ABM public health graduate, Shreve sets her sights on changing state’s health outcomes
Payton Shreve spent the last four years immersed in studies and practical experiences to further her passion for improving community health, especially for youth. Now, she’s leaving a mark on West Virginia University School of Public Health history as a member of the first cohort to graduate from the Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s (ABM) program and the first to earn that degree in public health.
Participants needed for study on puberty, stress, and behavior in children with autism
WVU researches at the CED are conducting a study on West Virginia youth ages 7-13 who have autism spectrum disorder. The study explores the relationship between stress, puberty, and behavior.
