The Eighth Annual Perry G. Fine, M.D., Pain Lecture Series will be Monday, Sept., 28, at the WVU Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. Registration and refreshments will begin at 5 p.m. with a welcome and opening remarks at 5:30 p.m.

The WVU Department of Surgery will host Grand Rounds at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, in room 4080 of Health Sciences North. The 2015 Gordon F. Murray, M.D., Visiting Professor Robert S.D. Higgins, M.D., will present “Surgery for the Next Generation…Generational Change in the Time of Accountability."

Clay Marsh, M.D., vice president and executive dean for West Virginia University’s Health Sciences Center has tapped William D. Ramsey, M.D. to serve as chief collaboration officer and director of coordination and logistics for WVU Health Sciences.
School of Medicine hosts Pre-Health Academy
The WVU School of Medicine will host a Pre-Health Academy of Advisors Workshop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22. Pre-health advisors are invited to participate in a day of activities designed to equip them with resources to help facilitate students’ goals of being accepted into a health sciences graduate program, particularly medical school at WVU.
