Health Sciences hosts National Library of Medicine traveling exhibit
The Health Sciences Library is hosting the National Library of Medicine Traveling Exhibit, “Binding Wounds, Pushing Boundaries: African Americans in Civil War Medicine.” The exhibit is on view in the library until April 3.
Department of Otolaryngology welcomes new Pediatric Otolaryngologist, Dr. Helene Dabbous
Helene Dabbous, M.D. joins the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery as an assistant professor and pediatric otolaryngologist. Dr. Dabbous is a graduate of the American University of Beirut, receiving her M.D. degree in 2017, and completed otolaryngology residency training in June 2022. She then completed a pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern – Children’s Medical Center in June 2023. Dr. Dabbous specializes in pediatric otolaryngology, and she is thrilled to join the WVU Medicine Department of Otolaryngology and provide much needed care to the children of West Virginia and the surrounding area.
HIV and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) event for faculty and staff on March 11
The West Virginia Regional Partner of the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center (MAATEC) will host an in-person event focused on HIV and Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) on March 11 from 12-1 p.m. in the Health Sciences Center Okey Patteson Auditorium.
