Exercise physiology to offer free aquatic therapy sessions

The West Virginia University School of Medicine's exercise physiology program is offering free aquatic therapy sessions for children and adults from Sept. 8 through Dec. 12.

The Aquatic Therapy Clinic provides free aquatic therapy for individuals with various conditions that may benefit from water-based exercise. Participants will be asked to complete a brief health history and undergo aquatic assessments to determine their specific needs.

Sessions will take place at the WVU Student Rec Center Aquatics Center. To access the facility, individuals must have an active membership, SilverSneakers membership, or purchase a day pass for $10.

Space is limited, and appointments will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
