In partnership with the fourth annual Try This West Virginia conference, state health professionals are planning a Try This for Health Professionals day that will take place June 1, one day before the annual Try This conference June 2 -3 at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon.
WVU School of Medicine names low back pain specialist in physical therapy
Muhammed Alrwaily, Ph.D., P.T. recently joined the West Virginia University School of Medicine’s Division of Physical Therapy as professor of physical therapy with extensive clinical, research and teaching experience in musculoskeletal physical therapy, particularly in the evaluation and treatment of people with low back pain.

Amy Rodgers Smith, M.M.T., assistant professor in the West Virginia University School of Medicine’s Department of Physical Therapy, was recently named as the university’s first healthcare-focused music therapist.

WVU School of Pharmacy’s Suresh Madhavan recipient of Distinguished Pharmacy Alumni Award from Purdue University
S. Suresh Madhavan, MBA, Ph.D., was the recipient of Purdue University College of Pharmacy’s 2017 Distinguished Pharmacy Alumni Award. Dr. Madhavan was one of four Purdue alumni who received this award, which recognizes the recipient’s outstanding achievements in professional and scientific endeavors.
