Public health researchers create safety education guide for post-secondary construction programs
Two to three construction workers die each day on job sites in the United States. To combat these statistics, public health researchers from West Virginia University and the University of California, Berkley have created an innovative, evidence-based safety guide for post-secondary Career Technical Education (CTE) construction programs.
WVU Health Sciences hosts lecture on hospital safety

New study led by public health researcher finds ‘suicides by drugs’ profoundly undercounted in the United States
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the suicide rate in the United States increased by 34 percent between 2000 and 2016. While that rate is high, a team of researchers led by SPH faculty member Ian Rockett believes it is seriously underestimated.
