The West Virginia University School of Dentistry Alumni Association celebrated distinguished alumni, alumni achievement and milestone anniversaries for the Doctor of Dental Surgery classes of 1963, 1968 and 1993.
MEET OUR GRADS: Aeshia McConnell
McConnell originally wanted to major in biology. It wasn’t long, however, before the native of Parkersburg, West Virginia, found herself considering another route. “I was initially going to be a biology major, but once on campus I was introduced to exercise physiology and was instantly drawn to it."
MEET OUR GRADS: Rob Waldrop
Rob Waldrop is a non-traditional student graduating from a calling he said he's had since he was 12. That calling is dentistry.

Terri Davis is a testament to the fact that medical school does not interrupt life. As a wife, a mother of six, a member of the Army National Guard and a fourth-year medical student at West Virginia University—to name just a few of the other activities she is involved in—Davis knows how to pursue her dreams and reach new milestones.

MEET OUR GRADS: Kaltume Ndayako
Sometimes a life-changing experience opens your eyes to what type of career you want to pursue. Growing up in Abuja, Nigeria, Kaltume Usman Ndayako witnessed many diseases endemic to the African continent. Motivated by a desire to gain a deeper understanding of underlying factors of health, Ndayako decided to pursue a degree in the field of Immunology. She ended up choosing the Immunology and Medical Microbiology program at West Virginia University.

Medical laboratory science may not sound familiar to everyone, but you may have experienced its services if you have ever been sick. Medical laboratory science involves diagnostic laboratory testing from A to Z. Doctors make many decisions based on lab results, which play a vital role in nearly every medical field.
