WVU family nurse practitioner graduates celebrate 96% first-time pass rate
For the 2024 Family Nurse Practitioner Certification examinations, WVU School of Nursing graduates have received an overall 96% first-time pass rate. These graduates include the Master of Science in Nursing – FNP program, as well as the FNP Post-Graduate Certificate program.

More than 60 undergraduate students gathered at the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center on Saturday, April 5, for the ninth annual WVU Rural Health Day, an event designed to introduce aspiring health professionals to the opportunities and rewards of practicing in rural communities.

Parents in Medicine (PiM) is hosting a Mother’s Day Flower Bouquet sale until April 30. The sale allows students and faculty the opportunity to preorder the flowers and receive them by May 9.
NOTICE: Health Sciences experienced brief power disruption on April 19
Earlier this evening, the Health Sciences Center experienced a brief power outage during a fast-moving storm. As a result, the generators kicked on to provide back-up power to the building. As of 9:15 p.m., power was restored to the building, and Facilities Management is monitoring the situation.
WVU in the News: Osher Lifelong Learning Institute fosters education for older adults
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), an affiliate of the WVU School of Public Health, provides educational and social opportunities designed for individuals aged 50 or older. OLLI provides services such as non-credit courses, activities, interest groups, events and travel opportunities that help individuals stay intellectually stimulated and socially active.
