Preventing burnout and building resilience: Administrative Grand Rounds to focus on tools and techniques for healthcare managers
The West Virginia University Master of Health Administration program is partnering with the West Virginia Hospital Association to host a virtual Administrative Grand Rounds, “Action Collaborative for Resilience and Well-being,” on Friday, Oct. 22, from noon to 1 p.m. via livestream on MDTV.

BeWell Blog — "Try This Tuesday: 'What If' Thinking"
The BeWell team is offering a series of helpful tips for mental health and wellbeing called "Try This Tuesday." This week, Layne Hitchcock discusses discusses "what if" thinking, which is normal and common, and can help keep other perspectives in mind. However, "what if" thinking can become problematic whenever prolonged, chronic, or when it causes distress, anxiety, and interferes with daily life functioning.

WVU Walk with a Future Doc session to focus on relationship between disease and mental health
This week's Walk with a Future Doc session will feature a discussion on the relationship between diseases and mental health presented by a WVU postdoctoral fellow.
WVU to extend indoor mask requirement on all campuses through Oct. 20
West Virginia University will extend requirements for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask indoors in all WVU System buildings and facilities through Oct. 20, when public health conditions will be reevaluated.
School of Public Health students volunteered at Save a Life Day in Monongalia County
West Virginia University School of Public Health students volunteered at Save a Life Day that was held on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 12 different locations in Monongalia County. During this event, the Monongalia County Quick Response Team (QRT) members and volunteers gave away free naloxone, or Narcan, which reverses the effects of an opioid overdose, and administered Narcan training.
