Scholarships available for tobacco treatment continuing education opportunity
The West Virginia University School of Dentistry is hosting a Certified Tobacco Treatment Training Program in May and scholarships are available to assist with registration and hotel accommodations. This course is recommended not only for dental professionals, but for physicians, physician assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, respiratory therapists, addiction treatment professionals, licensed professional counselors, and others who encounter individuals who use tobacco.

WVU internet service stable since midday Saturday; work to replace critical hardware underway
Internet service has been stable since it was restored around 12:30 p.m. Saturday (April 8). Unfortunately, WVU experienced a total of three outages this past week due to three different hardware failures.

WVU will host “Focus on Fentanyl: West Virginia’s Response to the Deadliest Drug,” an educational symposium organized by the Mountaineer Fentanyl Education Task Force and Bill Ihlenfeld, United States Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia, Thursday, April 13.
