While policies and discussions have helped improve these perceptions, according to recent research, there is much work left to be done to support the health of queer and trans people, especially in rural areas.
Mountaineer Card services at HSC expanding Monday, July 25 to include smart card production
WVU Information Technology Services will expand ID card services provided at the current HSC Service Center on Monday, July 25 to better accommodate Health Sciences Center employees and students. This will eliminate the need to travel to other locations when you need a new, chipped “smart” card.

Beginning in 1873, West Virginia University has continued the tradition of honoring selected individuals whose outstanding contributions are important to West Virginia University, to the people of the state of West Virginia or to the nation. These individuals have achieved the highest standards of excellence and illuminate, advance, ease, and inspire the human condition. The nomination deadline for the 2023 conferral is September 30, 2022.
