ASPIRE Office Fall Scholarship Deadlines Approaching
The ASPIRE Office is working with students applying for scholarships and fellowships. Many fall deadlines are coming up soon. Please read about the various awards on the ASPIRE website and contact the ASPIRE Office to set up a meeting. Please specifically note that the Fulbright Scholarship (for teaching English or doing a research project abroad) has an internal deadline of Monday, August 29. If you are a senior planning on applying for this award, please get in touch with ASPIRE as soon as possible at aspire@mail.wvu.edu.

The Monongalia County Quick Response Team is currently recruiting volunteers for West Virginia's first ever fully statewide 'Save a Life: Free Naloxone Day' event on September 8.

Global learning partnership connects WVU students with health care providers in Brazil
Thanks to a collaboration between West Virginia University and Amizade, the West Virginia Virtual Service Learning to Brazil Program allowed students to learn about the healthcare system directly from clinicians in medicine, physical therapy and dentistry in an online environment.

The Light up the Night Walk raises money to support Mental Health America (MHA) which is dedicated to promoting mental health and mental health prevention through advocacy, education, research and services.
Aiding Medicaid: WVU researchers partner with state to evaluate pandemic policy changes
A surge in telehealth usage among Medicaid recipients is one result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Researchers with West Virginia University's Office of Health Affairs are working with state Medicaid officials to find out if continuing those services will help Mountain State residents in the long run.
