New position control procedures announced, effective Feb. 23
Updates to the Health Sciences position control process have recently taken effect, and those tasked with hiring and requesting positions can review the full guidelines on the Hub.
Elevator construction details for WVU Health Sciences beginning March 2
Starting on Monday, March 2, elevator renovations will begin in both the North and South towers of the Health Sciences Center. Plans have been developed to minimize disruption, but some inconvenience cannot be avoided. Students, faculty and staff are advised to use the stairs as much as possible to minimize impacts on functioning elevators.
Planned electrical outage in HSC North -- Feb. 28 and March 1
On Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 1 there will be a partial electrical outage in select areas on the 1st floor of Health Sciences Center North.
Blood Drive planned for March 10 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital
An American Red Cross blood drive will be held Tuesday, March 10 from 12-6 p.m. at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital Bruce McClymonds Conference Room A for WVU employees and students.
Medicine Grand Rounds: Dr. Cavanaugh to give presentation on chronic pain in end-stage kidney disease
Kerri Cavanaugh, M.D., MHS, will give a presentation on chronic pain in end-stage kidney disease for the Department of Medicine grand rounds on Friday, Feb. 27, at noon.
Ophthalmology Grand Rounds: Drs. Duong and Siso to give presentations
Sabrina Duong, M.D., and Deniz Siso, M.D., will give presentations for the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences grand rounds on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 7 a.m. Drs. Duong and Siso are second-year residents in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences Residency Program. The presentations will be held online via Zoom and in the Pangilinan Family Lecture Hall on the second floor of the Eye Institute.
Register now for SOLE Course certification and Site Administrator training
Faculty and those who want to learn more about teaching in the SOLE system are encouraged to register for the Course and Site Administrators training opportunities offered throughout March by Information Technology Services.
Elevator repairs to begin March 1 at Health Sciences
Ongoing repairs and updates to elevators on the north and south sides of the Health Sciences building will begin on March 1 and are expected to be completed by December.
