WVU student participants still needed for a driving behaviors survey

We are still actively recruiting current WVU students to participate in a survey about driving after marijuana use during the COVID-19 pandemic. All the participants can complete this survey on REDCap or scan the bar code. Acknowledgment of this study by WVU’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) is on file.

COVID-19 vaccine update webinar to be hosted by West Virginia Immunization Network

The CDC is anticipated to recommend COVID-19 Omicron booster shots for children 5 years of age and older by mid-October 2022. This West Virginia COVID-19 Vaccine Update webinar on Friday, Oct. 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will provide an overview of the recommendations for the Omicron COVID-19 booster shots and clinical guidance for administering these vaccines.

Doctoral students invited to second 'Lunch and Learn' session on Nov. 18th

Dr. Ranjita Misra, PhD program director, invites all doctoral students to the first 'Lunch and Learn' of the semester on Nov. 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room 2940 B in Health Sciences North. Sponsored by the School of Public Health, this activity is open to all PhD students and will be an informal, meet-and-greet event with a boxed lunch served. There will also be a panel discussion with senior PhD students in various phases of their PhD program to offer helpful tips for the Qualifying Exam.

Update on affiliation options on your expense report

Starting today (Oct. 11), when selecting the 'Affiliation' in expense reports, you will see a change in the choices listed in the drop-down field when building your report. Employees will be required to select the applicable affiliation based on their specific employer.

WVU hosts panel on addressing addiction stigma in news reporting

The West Virginia University Reed College of Media, Reporting on Addiction  and WVU Health Sciences will present Tackling Addiction Stigma by Working with Journalists Monday, Oct. 17 from 6-7 p.m. in the WVU Media Innovation Center, Evansdale Crossing.
