Now accepting nominations for Faculty Globalization Award
The WVU Office of Global Affairs invites nominations for the 2026 Faculty Award for Outstanding Global Contributions, recognizing faculty whose work has meaningfully advanced WVU’s global mission.
Multiple Health Sciences entrances temporarily closed due to inclement weather
Multiple entrances to the Health Sciences buildings are temporarily closed due to cold temperatures. Detour signage is posted for the affected areas and facilities is working to resolve those issues.
Test of WVU Safety Notification System scheduled for Feb. 3
To ensure proper communication during emergencies, a test of the WVU Safety Notification System is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 3) on the Morgantown, Beckley and Keyser campuses.
From WVU ITS: WVU Zoom Phone Transition at HSC ramps up this spring
WVU continues to transition to Zoom Phone to avoid deferred maintenance costs exceeding $1 million and better support a large workforce with many hybrid and fully remote staff.
Operation Blue Sky Music in the Pylons to be held Feb. 2
WVU Health Sciences Operation Blue Sky invites all students, faculty and staff to visit Pylons Commons for a special performance on Feb. 2 by Ryu Wada, violin; Jackson Thee, flute; Jeremiah Hines, piano; and Supphanat Lamache, piano. Music will last from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Free coffee and hot chocolate will be provided.
AccessMedicine Now Available
WVU Libraries has added AccessMedicine to the suite of online resources licensed for WVU users. Available on and off campus, AccessMedicine contains hundreds of essential medical ebooks, thousands of videos, as well as cases, review questions, and study tools.
WVU Medicine: CSAPP transitioning to RxGov
The State of West Virginia is transitioning prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) access from CSAPP to RxGov. Providers must complete this transition to maintain access to WV PDMP data through NarxCare.
