HSC North detour scheduled for Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25
On Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25, the door to the hallway that connects the Pylons Commons Area to Fukushima Auditorium will be closed while crews work to install a new mural.
Elevators in HSC North unavailable briefly on Monday, July 27
On Monday, July 27, from 5 to 7 p.m., the elevators in HSC North will be shut down for the contractor to do electrical work as part of the overall elevator restoration project.
Health Sciences Mountaineer Station parking garage elevators out of service
The elevators in the WVU Mountaineer Station parking garage are out of service until further notice. Repairs are being made, but the contractor is unable to provide a timeframe for when they’ll be put back in service.
HSC Facilities staff briefly unavailable on June 10
On Wednesday, June 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., HSC Facilities staff will be attending the Facilities Management Staffing Celebration to recognize the hard work and professionalism their staff contributes to the WVU community.
Reminder: HSC Shuttle service unavailable Monday, May 25
The Health Sciences shuttle that runs between HSC and the Innovation Center will not be operating on Monday, May 25, as the University is closed in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Regular operations will resume Tuesday, May 26.
Work in Pylons Lobby restricts access to Okey Patteson on May 6
Scaffolding will be constructed in the Pylons Lobby for work to the wall over the main entrance to the Okey Patteson auditorium and William A. Neal Museum of the Health Sciences on Wednesday, May 6.
HSC Elevator Construction Update -- April 27
As part of the previously announced elevator construction project, the contractor has begun the process of upgrading buttons in the lobby areas of each floor today, Monday, April 27.
Steam outage to occur on Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21
There will be a planned 24-hour steam outage from 5 p.m. on Friday, March 20 until 5 p.m. Saturday, March 21 to make repairs to incoming steam lines on the WVU HSC Campus.
Hours adjustment to the Health Sciences parking shuttle
Based on rider feedback, the afternoon hours for the shuttle service between the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center and the WVU Innovation Corporation will shift to 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. starting on Monday, March 9.
Elevator construction details for WVU Health Sciences beginning March 2
Starting on Monday, March 2, elevator renovations will begin in both the North and South towers of the Health Sciences Center. Plans have been developed to minimize disruption, but some inconvenience cannot be avoided. Students, faculty and staff are advised to use the stairs as much as possible to minimize impacts on functioning elevators.
