A West Virginia University researcher is calling for expanded treatment and a sustainable statewide naloxone distribution program after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a report today (Dec. 21), which highlights the mounting public health crisis surrounding drug overdose deaths. The Mountain State continues to have the highest drug overdose death rate in the nation.

School of Medicine’s Division of Exercise Physiology to be under new leadership

Randall W. Bryner, EdD, was recently appointed interim chair for the School of Medicine’s Division of Exercise Physiology. He will oversee the education and undergraduate activities of the program. John M. Hollander, PhD, will serve as interim vice chair with responsibility for research and graduate education, including the PhD program.
